Traditonal Mining of Bitcoin with CPUminer and MS-DOS program - Made easy for you.

Let me introduce my skills of mining with normal computer. Guess what skill=0. I was so wondering that how actually mining is done because every time I see image or video how to do mining, everyone is explaining it so superfast as I am pro of computer and programing. But guess what it always go over my head and I couldn't get key point what to do and how to get started. I even downloaded program for mining, but when I open folder Booooom, don't know how to run program which is always looks like running in MS-DOS.

I spent days and days to get to right point and start doing it. But now don't want to waste your much time and let me guide you step by step to get started.

1. Download one of the program available on internet. You can do it by clicking link below.

2. Unzip the file at appropriate place, make sure you know where is it unzipping.

3. Open folder and create one notepad file in same folder, name it CLICK TO MINE.

4. copy and paste, what is written as under in created notepad file.

   

    minerd --url=stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 --userpass=userID.workerName:password

A. You need to sign up for one of the popular pool for mining, you can choose bitcoin,    litecoin, dodgecoin..etc.

   Bitcoin : Slushs pool

     Sign up for this pool

(Note down username which you use while sign up)

Go to Workers

Look for Worker Name

(Eg. worker1, default worker)

Note down worker's name

Go to Getting Started

Look for information

2.Configure Your Device

Step 1. You should choose server closest to your location. Copy it and paste it to identical place as shown in 4. copy and paste, what is written as under.

(For Example I will select USA, east coast server)

minerd --url=stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 --userpass=userID.workerName:password

Step 2.  Now we have to replace userID.workerName

(For Instance Username is ABCD)

minerd --url=stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 --userpass=ABCD.workerName:password

Step 3. You should replace your workerName to your correct worker name. You can use default worker name as I mentioned above.

(For Instance worker name is worker1)

minerd --url=stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 --userpass=ABCD.worker1:password

Step 4. Change password.. Hang on..  You couldn't find password anywhere. So Now what......For this specific pool there is no password, and you can type anything as  password.

(For Instance password is 1234)

minerd --url=stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 --userpass=ABCD.worker1:1234

5. Now this is your command line. you should replace default command line with command line which  we pasted in created notepad file.

6. Save this notepad file by going to File --> Save As ---> add .bat extension to file name (click to mine.bat) --> save. This will create .bat file in same folder.

7. This file will save to same folder which you unzip from downloaded file. You are good to go now. Ready to mine.

8. click on highlighted file, seat back and watch.

You are mining your own Bitcoins.

5. Download appropriate program for your operating system. (You should know how to check is your system in 32 bit or 64bit)

6. Run .exe file and install program on your computer.

7. sign in on software and let it run itself. (Select SMART MINING, and software will decide on currency to mine)

8. you can choose currency to mine manually too.

9. You can download wallet from same website and run it on your computer, which you will need when you withdraw currency from pool
to your personal wallet.

10. You can download software on your android phone or tablet from Google Play.

As per my observations, it is difficult to mine digital currency with your average computer at home. Bitcoin mining is in the hands of corporate now, as it requires too much capital investment in high capacity hardware at current difficulty level. My intention is not to discourage you people, who still just want to taste how mining done. Although there are still type of currency available which you can mine with your ordinary computer and collect some coins.





But you might notice that those currency has no value at current market exchange rate. Let me remind you that when Bitcoiin, Litecoin, Dodgecoin etc.. started, neither has value at that time. But people who were interested in mining still keep on doing it and imagine whoever collect few hundreds of Bitcoin at that time and save them still in their wallet. (100 coin* $ 445 appx = $44500). So just mine some coins which are not well known right now and easy to mine and keep it in your wallet in the hope of increase of that coin in value in future. You just need to consume some electricity and get some coin. It is not necessary to waste your electricity, just start mining whenever you turn your computer on, software will mine some coin in background with use of free capacity of your processor. At the end results you will see some coin in your wallet over the period of time. For your convenience I will discuss some easy to mine coin in my next blog.
